Join us for themed stories, songs, and activities! No signup required Ages 3-5 years (Adult must be in attendance with children under 8 yrs. old.)

Join us for a walk and talk about movies, music, books, and more! Every Thursday at Noon from May 21-August 27. We will meet near the South Entrance of the library. Weather permitting. Will not walk in event of storms, strong winds, or during other weather advisory.

Choose a book you love—whether it's fantasy, romance, mystery, graphic novels, or any other genre—and transform it into a uniquely painted plant pot. We will provide pots and paints; you just need to bring your creative vision. Go for bold and colorful designs, soft and dreamy looks, or dark and dramatic styles; it's all about your personal touch and story. When you add a plant, you'll be literally bringing a piece of your favorite book to life. Snacks will be available while you paint, and we’ll have a garden-inspired backdrop for some Instagram-worthy pictures of your masterpiece.

Have some lunch, watch a documentary, and enjoy a discussion! Last Friday of the month (from May to August) at 12:00 pm (noon). Friday, May 29: "Bluff City Chinese" Friday, June 26: “Family Recipe: Jewish American Style” Friday, July 31: "Lida Celebrates America: Flavors That Define Us". Strictly Self Defense will cover several basic strikes and escape techniques, along with an understanding of the concepts that make them effective for use in self-defense at Bellwood Public Library on Saturday, August 1, at 1:30 pm.Registration required.
