Community Health Education: Stop the Bleed

Bellwood Public Library is proud to announce a new initiative at the library: Community Health Education! This month, we'll be joined by Life Safety LLC who will teach us Stop the Bleed, a hands-on training designed to help the public learn what to do in an emergency where someone is bleeding and injured.Due to instructor capacity, this class is limited to 15 people. After you finish a book, magazine, graphic novel, audiobook, or manga—anything you enjoy—participate in our Plant a Review program. Your recommendations can help other teens discover their next favorite story.Whether you love the reading material or have mixed feelings about it, your opinion is important. Once you've finished, stop by the Chill Spot to pick up a flower or leaf. Write down the title, author, and a short recommendation (1 to 3 sentences) or a warning about the story. Turn in your review, and you'll receive a prize for your submission!
