(CANCELLED) Three Frenchmen and a Goat: The DeMoulin Bros. Story

About this event
In 1892, three brothers -- Ed, U.S. and Erastus DeMoulin -- founded a company in Greenville, Illinois that first made fraternal initiation oddities, then later colorful marching band uniforms. They were also the creative geniuses behind peculiar devices like the Ferris Wheel Goat, Lifting & Spanking Machine, and the Trick Chair. Their descendants shepherded the business through graduation caps & gowns, choir robes, church & lodge furniture, and circus outfits before finally settling on marching band uniforms. Over 130 years later, DeMoulin Bros. & Co. is one of six remaining band uniform manufacturers in America.
Join John Goldsmith, founder and curator of the DeMoulin Museum, in this entertaining and quirky presentation with many hands-on gadgets that will amuse and possibly astound you.
