Join documentarian Craig Dudnick for a showing of Alice's Ordinary People, a documentary about civil rights leader and Evanston native, Alice Tregay. Alice fought against school overcrowing and portable classrooms (Willis Wagons) in the 1960's, ran the campaigns of Aldermen William Cousins and Abner Mikva, was chief lobbyist for the Black Illinois Legislative Lobby, and started the Political Education Division of Rainbow PUSH. During her lifetime, she received many prestigious awards for her service and work in civil rights.
