TIPS FOR USING THE LIBRARY

Keep visits to the library short - an hour or less Children have short attention spans and often become bored or restless after an hour or so.
Remember to bring your library card! Not bringing a library card to the library is like taking a child to a candy store and telling them they can only look but not taste. Take some of the goodies home.
Parents are the best teacher! Study after study has shown that children whose parents have taught them library skills and good library manners make the best use of libraries.

Recommendations are for the sites listed, not for sites linked to from those resources. As with other library materials, restriction of a young person's access to the Internet is the responsibility of the parent or legal guardian.
