It has never been more important to map a strategy to
ensure that your child is able to attend college! This program is for
parents of young children. Joseph Orselini, a Certified College
Planning Specialist (CCPS), will explain what college costs today, where
it may be headed in the future, and why it is important to start saving
now. He will also show the various ways to save for college including
529 plans, Coverdell education savings accounts and US savings bonds. We
will also discuss the role of financial aid and how your savings choices
can impact your child's eligibility for aid.

library cardholders can get passes starting at 12:00 noon on Saturday,
June 7.

Program

There are
so many good reasons to read, but here's one more! Members of the Adult
Summer Reading Program can enter a weekly prize drawing. For every book
that you finish in a given week, you get an entry in that week's
drawing. The Program kicks off on Monday, June 9 and runs through
Friday, August 1. Winners are picked on Mondays from the previous
week's entries. All you need to enroll is a Bellwood Library Card.
Then, whenever you finish a library book, turn in an entry form too!

off Foreclosure --

If you're facing rapidly increasing mortgage payments or
are just having a hard time making ends meet and are afraid of losing
your home, you won't want to miss this seminar. We'll discuss available
options when your mortgage rate is about to reset, and the steps you can
take to get back on track if you're already headed toward foreclosure,
including tips for negotiating with your lender. We'll also discuss how
to best navigate the foreclosure process and how to rebuild credit
following foreclosure. The speaker will be Joan Jensen, President and
CEO of Central Credit Union in Bellwood.
