Your Library Card

Your library card is a key to the resources of the Library.  Library cards are issued at no cost to all residents of Bellwood for a three-year period.  When you apply for a Bellwood Library Card you will be asked to prove that you reside within the legal boundaries of Bellwood by showing two forms of identification bearing your current address and a photo ID.  Applicants under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present to sign their application.  Borrowers are responsible for all material checked out on their card.  You must have your library card with you to check out material or to use the computer.

If you have had a library card in the past from another library located within the Metropolitan Library System you must resolve any delinquencies on the previous card before being issued a Bellwood Library Card.

Library Cards may be renewed for FREE by bringing in your library card along with two current forms of identification bearing your name, address and a photo ID.  Library cards are renewed every three years.

The replacement fee for a lost library card is $3.00.  Damaged cards are replaced free of charge provided you have the damaged card at the time of replacement.
